On November 19, 2004, Liu Yandong, then Vice Chairman of the CPPCC and Minister of the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, visited the company's production workshop and employee dormitories, expressing appreciation for the people-oriented approach and emphasis on talents and corporate culture of Huajian Shoe City.
In April 2004, headquarters of Huajian Group, Dongguan Huabao Shoes Co., Ltd. (Shigu), was established.
On July 11, 2003, Jiangmen Yuhua Leather Co., Ltd. was established.
In June 2002, Huakun Industrial & Trading Co., Ltd. was established. It is mainly engaged in shoe material trade, latex production, and raw material import and export.
In April 2002, the No.4 shoemaking factory of Huajian officially started production, setting up molding production lines and supporting departments, with 930 employees in total.
On January 20, 2002, the grand signing ceremony for the "Huajian International Shoe City" project was held in Ganzhou, Jiangxi. A 600-mu land allocation was designated for the project in future five years, involving a fixed investment of RMB329 million.
In November 2000, the No. 2 Shoe Materials Department was established, focusing on midsole production, outsole assembly processing, and shoe material fitting.
In June 2000, the No. 2 Production Department of Huajian officially opened, setting up 3 molding production lines and supporting departments, with1,280 factory employees in total. Meanwhile, the company's R&D and technical departments were successively established.
In August 1999, the No. 4 Production Department of Huajian was officially established, setting up two molding production lines and supporting departments, with 650 employees in total.
In May 1999, the Huajian Shoe Materials Division was established, integrating mold development, PU, TPR, ABS, heel, and sole production, with 450 employees in total.
In October 1997, Huajian undertook the first order from Paramont, establishing a long-term partnership since then.
In October 1996, Zhang Huarong, the Chairman of Jiangxi Huajian Footwear Co., Ltd., led more than 80 colleagues from the company to the Baihao Industrial Zone in Houjie Town, Dongguan City. On October 16, they established "Dongguan Huajian Footwear Co., Ltd.," with 2 production lines opened specializing in the production of women's shoes and a total workforce of 600 people.

On September 15, 2005, construction began on Huafeng International Leather City in Xiangcheng, Henan, with a total investment of USD 12 million.
On August 29, 2005, Huajian International Shoe City - Phase II in Ganzhou officially started, with a total investment of RMB350 million.

On April 21, 2006, Huabao Shoes Co., Ltd. obtained preliminary approval for ISO 9001:2000 international quality system certification.

On November 29, 2007, the World Footwear Forum, initiated by Huajian Group, jointly organized by China National Light Industry Council, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Light Industry Products and Art- Crafts, Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, Government of Houjie Town, Dongguan, Taiwan Footwear Manufacturers Association, and Asia Footwear Association, undertaken by Dongguan Huarui Industrial Investment Co., Ltd., was grandly held at the International Convention & Exhibition Center in Houjie, Dongguan.

On the 16:00 of July 19, 2008, Wen Jiabao, then a standing member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, accompanied by Wang Yang, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, and Huang Huahua, Governor of Guangdong Province, visited Huajian Group and Huabao Footwear for investigation. Those accompanying Premier Wen Jiabao also included Ma Kai, State Councilor and Secretary-General of the State Council, and other leaders of central ministries and commissions.
On April 3, 2008, Dongguan Huarui Industrial Investment Co., Ltd., held by Huajian Group, invested by Huajian and Hong Kong Bonway Group, was established on the fourth floor of Huajian's headquarters. Make full efforts to build the "World Footwear Headquarters Base" project.

On July 3, 2009, the Fourth Commendation Conference for National Model of Self-Improvement and Advanced Collective and Individual in Helping and Supporting the Disabled grandly opened in Beijing. Chairman Zhang Huarong was awarded the title of "National Advanced Individual in Helping and Supporting the Disabled."
On June 18, 2009, the three-day First Guangdong Foreign-Invested Enterprise Products (Domestic Sales) Expo was held in Houjie, Dongguan, with Huajian Group and the World Footwear Headquarters Base participating in the exhibition. Wang Yang, then a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, and Huang Huahua, Governor of Guangdong Province, visited the booth of Huajian Group and the World Footwear Headquarters Base, giving full affirmation and earnest expectations for the company's development and the operation of the headquarters base project.
On April 28, 2009, Chairman Zhang Huarong was awarded the "National May Day Labor Medal" and attended the commendation ceremony held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

On September 18, 2010, a grand unveiling ceremony and opening ceremony was held in Huajian Science and Technology School. Leaders from the Ganzhou municipal Party committee of CPC of attended the event and jointly unveiled the plaque for the Science and Technology School with Chairman Zhang Huarong.
On April 27, 2010, Chairman Zhang Huarong was awarded the honorary title of "National Model Worker," and on the same day, he attended the Commendation Conference for National Model Worker and Advanced Worker held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
On March 18, 2010, Huajian International Automobile City opened grandly in Ganzhou.

On December 8, 2011, the third World Footwear Industry Development Forum was grandly held at the Sheraton Hotel in Houjie, Dongguan.
In November 2011, Huajian International Shoe City (Ethiopia) Limited was established.
On May 31, 2011, the groundbreaking ceremony for the World Footwear Headquarters Base, a key construction project in Dongguan in 2011, and signing ceremony for strategic cooperation of footwear transformation and upgrading in Houjie, Dongguan, took place in Houjie.

On October 31, 2012, the fourth World Footwear Industry Development Forum was successfully held.

On September 12, 2013, Huajian Group signed a formal agreement with relevant government departments of Ethiopia to build the Ethiopia-China Huajian International Light Industry City.

On April 16, 2015, the foundation stone for the Ethiopia-China Huajian International Light Industry City was laid. Hailemariam, the then Prime Minister of Ethiopia, attended and presided over the ceremony.
On January 20, 2015, the sixth World Footwear Industry Development Forum was successfully held.

On November 28, 2017, Zhang Huarong attended the 2017 UNIDO General Assembly.
On November 27, 2017, Chairman Zhang Huarong was re-elected as a standing member of the 12th All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.
On October 26, 2017, the People's Government of Jiangxi Province awarded Zhang Huarong the "Jiangxi Province's First Ganpo Charity Award for the Most Compassionate Charity Model."
On September 10, 2017, Zhang Huarong, Chairman of Huajian Group, and Ms. Clare, CEO of the Rwanda Investment and Development Board, signed a memorandum of cooperation at the Kigali Convention Center.
On September 9, 2017, President Kagame of Rwanda met with a delegation of Shenzhen Enterprise Federation led by Zhang Huarong, Chairman of Huajian Group, at the Marriott Hotel in Rwanda.
On September 2, 2017,Chairman Zhang Huarong was warmly received by the then Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Hailemariam, at the Prime Minister's Office.
On September 1, 2017, Zhang Huarong was awarded the honorary title of "Father of Ethiopian Industry" by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
From April 24 to 26, 2017, Liu Yandong, then a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, visited Africa, attending the "Second China-Africa Youth Gala" and "China-South Africa High-Level People-to-People Exchange Mechanism" series of activities. Zhang Huarong delivered a keynote speech at the event.
From March 23 to 26, 2017, renowned economist Lin Yifu attended the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2017, highlighting Ethiopia's international influence transformed by Huajian's successful investment.
On January 31, 2017, Zhang Huarong attended the "African Union Summit - 18th General Assembly of the African First Ladies Association."

On November 9, 2018, at the 14th China Industrial Forum (guided by the National Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, supported by the China Federation of Industrial Economics and the China Enterprise Confederation and hosted by China Industrial News Agency), Zhang Huarong was awarded the honorary title of "Pioneer in Chinese Reform and Opening Up Innovation in the Industrial Model."
On October 28, 2018, he was selected as one of the "Chinese Private Economy Figures in 40 Years."
On October 24, 2018, he was selected as one of the "Top 100 Outstanding Private Entrepreneurs in the 40 Years of Reform and Opening Up."
In 2018, Chairman Zhang Huarong was honored with the title of "Top 100 Outstanding Private Entrepreneurs in the 40 Years of Reform and Opening Up," and received by President Xi Jinping on two occasions.

In October 2019, he was awarded the "70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" commemorative medal by the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, and the Central Military Commission.

In August 2020, Huajian Group was recognized as an "Important Private Enterprise Contributing to the Fight Against the Epidemic."

In October 2021, Chairman Zhang Huarong was honored as the "Most Beautiful Retired Soldier of 2021."
